Bliss.
its been wayyy too long.. ive been home and back.. and boy was it gooooodd...
this holiday was a activity packed one, played tons of golf with ben - surprisingly i wasnt tooo bad considering i haddent touched a club in like 6 months! but we had good times on the golf course, though i had to be dragged at times.. hehe =@). had one 9 holes with my dad, james and ben. Funnily enough, due to the added "pressure" of Uncle Ralph(my dad) being there, ben duffed the first hole , ie: his ball didnt even fly and skidded rather gay-ly towards the ladies tee.. heheee.. it was fun though, you could tell my dad was really happy playing with his children.. i asked him if he was happy playing with us .. he replied.." of course doll, after this can die already!" CHOY!
celebrate james's 11th birthday over the weekend of the 31st march. on the friday, my mum treated 3 of us to wakeboarding at sembawang! james had done it many times before cos its like his cca at SAS. I generally have an inherent fear of the sea, as some of you may know, im petrified of fish, and i guess i hate not knowing how deep the water is.. *shudder*. but i hopped into the water with the wakeboard onand waited for instruction from the instructor - (chuiling, he looked like gab)
to cut a long story short, it took me many tries before i managed to get up on the water! hahaa... people tell me it puts alot of strain on your back and what not, but i perrsonally had terriblly aching hips. but boy was it a shiok feeling when i finally stood up and lasted for quite a while too! =@))
when i got out of the water, the guy told me that there was ajelly fish right next to me, super heng. but then subsequently, not so heng for ben.. he was stung. POO. poor thing man.. he was in quite a bit of pain.. but he carried on with the wakeboarding cos apparently its slightly less painful if you stay in the water.. poor baby..
oh yeah, the instructor had to shit in the middle, so he drove the boat to the side and hopped into the water about 20 m away from us and shat. while smoking a ciggie.lurvely eh? haha then when i was in the water while he was briefing me, hesaid " better not fall in the water too much, scully eat my shit" mmm.. nice. ??!?!?! hahaa..
i stupidly didnt put any sunblock so i got totally burnt, and my knees esp were bright red, raw and painful like lobster- whoever hears of your knees getting burnt of all things?! we headed for lunch at Boon tong kee chicken rice which was OH SO FAB! checked in to the hyatt hotel for complimentary 2 nights stay after.. which i found quite retarded cos i live less then 1 km away. i actually slept at home on the second night after meeting ben cos my bed was more comfie at home.. hahaa. what a joke.
anyway.. played lotsa tennis too with ben - after a 2 yr hiatus- still could play which was pleasantly surprising..and of course, FOOD FOOD FOOD - the basis of ben and I's existence.. ( not quite but yeah you get the point)

- west lake -melt in your mouth kong bak pau
- MAC D's BREAKFAST - rock my socks
- lawry's Prime rib - hehe.. er we gave ourselves the excuse it was my " going away meal" yumyum..
- zambuca at pan pacific ( ben's bro chucky's going away meal) - fab pasta
- mummy's yummy home cooking....mmm
ok i cant think of anymore.. but yeah it was GOOD STUFF.. so im officially for the 1000th time , FAT now.
and then.. we had ben's birthday celebration as I wouldnt be in singapore for his real birthday.. sob. so I had planned this surprise for him on thurs (13th april). I wont reveal what it is here. but it was really really very nice experience... hehee.. and he was quite surprised i should say? though he did guess it somewhat.. but ah well. there is only so much you can do outside in singapore which you have to pay for. hehe.. then after we finished our surprise, we had teppanyaki dinner in my balcony - its become somewhat of a tradition every year for his birthday meal - so we had
- honey soya sauce chicken thigh
- salmon
-ribeye beef
- scallops
- big big prawns
- straw mushrooms
- tofu
-eggplant
it was goood.. though somehow fewer ingrediants then normal... but i guess i do go overboard with the food as there's only 2 of us, but this time it was just right and we finished it all..
i also made an experimental cheesecake for his birthday - the actually cheese was a bit of a disappointment cos i didnt add in enough philly cream cheese, but there's always next time! the cake had a digestive biscuit base with tons of butter and honey, followed by a layer of chocolate, then chopped canned pears soaked in cognac (brandy) followed by the cheese. considering i didnt use a recipe and just aga aga. it was not bad larh..
and FINALLY i gave him the "stuff" which i had been working on for weeks - a hang knitted scarf with paralel cable knit! he loved it and thought i had bought it at first! haha.. realy happy with the result! ill post the pic of it on here soon.. =@)
so all in all.. it was a very very good birthday celebration, love makes you do anything. =@)
so there's my lil summary of my 3 week holiday.. it was refreshing not to have army in the picture at all... and simply.. nice.
to CHUILING: babe was a pity didnt meet up, what with your exams and poor health.. hope you get better soon!! will see you in june or so.. take care and exams will be over soon!! love ya! =@)
to JOSH ( if you read this) : pretty nails will not replace our friendship.. heheee.. i WILL call you when im bk next.. ok? believe you me. =@)
OH YES i forgot to add i had my first manicure experience with my mum!! hehehee.. at Strip in Holland V. got nail extensions with a french mani.. my mum got a voucher for her 50th birthday larh.. so she share with me. heehe..
AND how could i not add that i have officially lost my mambo virginity! hahaa.. finally went for mambo night with ben! it was awesome awesome awesome!!! "too many broken hearts in the world.." *with actions* .. hahaa..
ok gotta eat, all that food listing has made me hungry.
